cannot get information your hard disks

If I try an nvidia raid I get "Cannot get information about you hard disks". If I try the Silicon Image 3114 raid my SI drivers get snubbed by vista. I would not have tried the vista intall had I known it would blow apart my raid10 on the 3114 and happy x64 system.
